But I wanted to write a response longer than the comments would allow :/
I gotta say I totally agree with you (about changing an ef/em bodyshape to something younger/perkier). I don’t know the creator you mention, but I feel like this has been a common theme in the sims community for a while. I think the problem is in part because Maxis aging is so off. I think a lot of people treat the elder life stage as a “middle age” mainly because a lot of times there are still sim children in the home and it doesn’t make sense that their parents are 65+ with silver hair.
I used to be the type to dye my sims hair and put them in perkier clothing, until I realized that was totally backwards. Now I just have an aging mod that is similar to maxis’ pacing of time, but allows for more realistic aging between the lifestages. In my adult stage there are 40 sim days, 10 days for each decade of adulthood (20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s). I just give my sims “middle age” makeovers with fine lines and more “grown up” attire and hair when they meet the middle mark of their life bar.
Then I just happily download cozy sweaters, lounge pants, wireless bras, and smoking jackets for my 65+ sims. They’ve lived a long and prosperous life and they deserve to be retired, silver foxes!
